FAQ

Q: What kinds of symptoms does chiropractic treat?

A: As chiropractors we frequently treat neck and back pain.  We are also great at helping people with headaches, sciatica, disc bulge, and extremity problems.  We can help with a number of conditions, the best thing to do is stop by for a consultation.

Q.  I heard once you start seeing a chiropractor you have to keep going back again and again is that true?

A: The number of visits required to get you feeling better depends on the severity of the condition, the general health of the patient, and what the patient does outside the clinic to improve or worsen his/her progress.  We will be happy to release you from care when you are ready to finish care, ultimately the choice is always yours!

Q: Is Chiropractic safe?

A: While no health care intervention is completely without risk there are numerous studies proving the safety and efficacy of chiropractic care.  Chiropractic Physicians enjoy the lowest malpractice insurance rates in the health care industry.  Chiropractic is non invasive, and when proper examination and screening techniques are used it is very safe.

Q: What can I expect on my first visit?

A:  Your will fill out some paper work and answer questions on a computer.  You will then be seen by a doctor who will give you an initial consultation.  If it is determined that you are a good candidate for chiropractic care the doctor will do a brief exam.  The exam includes things like blood pressure, heart rate, reflexes, and posture evaluation, as well as orthopedic tests dependent on you symptoms.  The doctor will take a thorough history and order any imaging he/she feels is necessary.  X-rays and or MRI will only be ordered if the doctor believes they are clinically necessary.  The doctor will tell you what he/she thinks is the problem.  They will tell you if they can help, and what will be done.

Q:  Will I be able to afford chiropractic care?

A:  We are in network providers for most major health insurance carriers and can submit bills directly to your health insurance provider for you.  If you don't have health insurance we have affordable options to make care accessible to anyone regardless of budget.

Q:  I still have more questions how can I learn more?

A: Dr. Mary will talk to you on the phone free of charge!  Give us a call (816) 525-1311or email us: [email protected] and  we will be happy to answer your questions!
